Chalky and Cotton go Camping

Chalky and Cotton go Camping

An Australian Frazzy Dazzles pattern by Jennifer Goldsmith.  Any Polar Bear will tell you that the Arctic is a wild, windy and cold place to call home. When the days are short and the nights are long a sleeping bag and tent are just the ticket to ride out a storm...especially if there's a toasty hot water bottle to ward off the chill and warm your belly.

The project uses both wool felt and cotton quilting weight fabrics. The finished size of the tent is around 12cm. The inclusion of movable arms and legs in the polar bear construction makes this design very 'playable' for young hands.

The finished project comprises a snug dome style tent, two polar bears and their sleeping bags, pillows, backpacks, scarves and a cozy campfire to ward off the chill. I made this set to be both played with and to inspire further play. Perhaps they'll be a stepping stone to all important fort building when the weather closes in and the small people in your life need to make some fun?
