Sew Anything Class Saturday - Adults and Kids Welcome
We are SO EXCITED to be opening our classroom again on Monday June 15 and to be seeing your smiling faces again, and welcoming new students! To keep everybody safe in line with social distancing regulations we will be limiting our class numbers so that students are 1.5m apart. This will mean some changes to our class times, capacity and costs.
Adjusting to life under these new restrictions will be a learning curve for our business so thank you for your support and understanding during this time.
This class will now be from 9-12 OR 2-5 and the cost will be $45.00. There will be a limit of 5 students and two teachers. Adults and kids welcome!
Our staff are following the correct hand washing protocols. We are also cleaning counter surfaces, sewing machines, tools and other equipment more frequently. There is hand sanitiser available at the counter and in the classroom.
In store, we will comply with physical distancing measures as recommend and only permit six people in each level of store at the one time (includes staff).
If you are unwell, please stay at home. We're happy to reschedule your class.
Complete beginners welcome!
Come and sew those unfinished projects or start a new project in a friendly and relaxed environment. Our Saturday sewing class is specifically designed to give you 3 hours of uninterrupted sewing time to work on whatever project you choose.
These Sew Anything Classes are the ideal time to learn new techniques and get focused help from our experienced tutor.
We can teach you sewing machine basics and start you on your first project (suggestions below) or help you with any stage of an existing project - be it a bag, soft toy, clothing or a quilt - from designing to planning and finishing!
We can help you with any patchwork technique including foundation piecing, hand or machine applique, quilting, binding and even modern improvised piecing.
Learn to sew your own clothes or to up-cycle and mend existing clothes. We can help you to grade between sizes and make clothes that fit!
Learn to sew soft toys - from the simplest way to cut the pattern to adding gussets and all the tricky, fiddly bits.
SEWING MACHINE HIRE - $5.
Rotary cutters, mats, rulers and irons are available for your use in the class area. Please let us know if you would like to borrow a sewing machine during class time.
PLEASE NOTE: CLASS COSTS DOES NOT INCLUDE FABRIC OR KITS
